InTASC Standard 1: Learner Development
The teacher understands how learners grow and develop, recognizing that patterns of learning and development vary individually within and across the cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical areas, and designs and implements developmentally appropriate and challenging learning experiences.
1.1 Scaffolding the process of learning the expectations of learning the recorder allows for maximum retention and student success.
1.2 Having options in the lesson for students learning at different rates is optimal for participation. This lesson allows for detailed review, individual practice, assessment, and new material in one lesson.
1.3 Being aware of the cultural and socio-economic community of your school can allow implications and adjustments in the classroom. This is a report of the socio-economic statuses regarding my secondary student teaching placement in Howard County, MD.
