InTASC Standard 4: Content Knowledge

The teacher understands the central concepts, tools of inquiry, and structures of the discipline(s) he or she teaches and creates learning experiences that make these aspects of the discipline accessible and meaningful for learners to assure mastery of the content.

4.1 This High School Choral Literature Assignment includes research and score study of various pieces, composers, and genres. The purpose of the assignment was to utilize my resources to create a meaningful and musically engaging program for a High School Program.

4.2 The Praxis 2 is a Music Content Knowledge exam for music educators to become certified to teach Vocal, General, and Instrumental music in many states throughout the country. 

4.3 Using a variety of musical behaviors, such as reading, performing, analyzing, listening, and moving encourages various methods of exposure and stimulation in a classroom.
